What is CyberScribe?

CyberScribe is a tool for Game Masters to run and document their TTRPG campaigns. It organises your game systems, campaigns, and sessions, transcribes recorded game audio, and uses AI to turn each session into a summary and plot hooks.

What audio formats can I upload?

Common formats are supported, including MP3, WAV, FLAC, OGG, M4A, AAC, WebM, Opus, WMA, AIFF, and AC3. The audio is transcribed and then deleted — we keep the text, not the recording.

How does the AI summarisation work?

CyberScribe uses a five-level prompt cascade — Site Admin, Game Master, Game System, Campaign, and Session. Instructions set at a higher level apply to everything below it, and you can override them at any lower level to fine-tune the summary and plot hooks. See AI Prompts for details.

Can I use my own AI model or API key?

Not at this time. The AI model and API keys are configured by the site Admin and apply to everyone on the installation.

What are plot hooks?

Plot hooks are short, private suggestions for where your story could go next. Unlike the session summary, they are only visible to the Game Master.

How do I connect Discord?

You can add webhook URLs to a campaign so that session summaries and plot hooks can be posted to Discord channels. See Discord Integrations for the setup.
