Privacy Policy
CyberScribe is designed to keep your campaign data private. This page explains what we store, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Last updated: 2026-08-21
What we store
We store the information needed to run your campaigns:
- Account details — your username, a hashed password, and (optionally) your Discord name.
- Campaign data — game systems, campaigns, sessions, player characters, transcripts, summaries, plot hooks, and notes.
- Settings — AI prompt overrides and Discord webhook URLs.
Audio recordings
When you upload session audio, we transcribe it to text and then delete the audio file. We keep the resulting transcript so you can read and edit it, but we do not retain the original recording.
AI processing
To generate summaries and plot hooks, the relevant transcript and notes are sent to the AI provider configured by the site Admin. We do not use your campaign content for anything other than producing the output you request.
The AI model and any API keys are set by the Admin, stored encrypted at rest, and only ever used to make the AI calls you initiate.
What we never do
- We do not sell or share your data with advertisers.
- We do not run third-party analytics or tracking on your campaign content.
- Game Masters cannot see each other's data — every GM's campaigns are fully isolated.
Your data, your control
You can edit or delete any of your campaigns, sessions, and characters at any time. Deleting a game system removes everything beneath it. Contact the site administrator to request deletion of your account.
