Game Systems
What is a Game System?
A Game System is the rulebook or game setting your campaign uses. Examples: "Dungeons & Dragons 5e", "Cyberpunk RED", "Call of Cthulhu", or a homebrew system of your own.
Each Game System belongs to you (the Game Master) and has a unique name — you can't have two systems with the same name.
Creating a Game System
- From your Dashboard, click "New Game System".
- Enter a name (e.g. "D&D 5e - Homebrew World").
- Optionally add a Summary Prompt and Plot Hook Prompt — these instructions will be included whenever the AI generates content for any session in any campaign under this system.
- Click "Create Game System".
Managing a Game System
From your Dashboard or the Game Systems page, you can:
- Edit — change the name or AI prompts for the system.
- View Campaigns — see all campaigns under this system.
- New Campaign — add a campaign to this system.
- Delete — removes the system and everything inside it (all campaigns, sessions, player characters). You'll be asked to confirm.
AI Prompts at the System Level
Any prompt you set on a Game System applies to every campaign and session within that system. More specific prompts at the campaign or session level add their own instructions below it, but the Game System-level prompt still takes priority over them. See AI Prompts for how the priority ladder works.
